Lost in Thought

If ever I had a favorite, this might be it. Solid black with just a splash of light here and there. His eye shining like a gem against all things monochrome. And there he sits, totally lost in thought. I read somewhere that when they do this, they are not looking at anything physical. They are seeing who you are inside, soaking it all in.

Shadows

I titled this one "Shadows" because I realized, while I was painting it, that the shadows that were dancing around against magnificence of this cat were a big part of the beauty. Fur like black crushed velvet... eyes like true crystal... it just completely took my breath away

Magic

Here's another beauty that I can't keep my eyes off of. He's a little darker than Chat Noir. He looks like crushed velvet with big gorgeous eyes shining like magical lanterns on a dim and dreary night. I think we will call this one "Magic", what do you think? I'd say it's very fitting and I hope you agree

Under Cover Kitty

Sneaky little tuxedo cat burrowing around under your blankets. All of a sudden a kitty head pops out! Well at least most of it!! =) He's definitely "under cover", probably searching for those invisible bed mice. Secret agent kitty or just a silly lovable sweetie? I'll let you decide!

I absolutely love it when my kitties do this!

Chat Noir

Chat Noir is French for "Black Cat".

I was having a very hard time coming up with a name for the second painting of this particular cat which I LOVE to paint and just stare at, for that matter. How do you sum up perfect cat eyes, sometimes pure amber and sometimes they look splashed with green? They catch the light with an almost ridiculous grace because at times it doesn't seem all together real? I did my best and I hope you will agree =)

Enchanté

The word Enchanté is French for "enchanted".
I titled this beautiful, sky blue eyed kitty for the way she makes me feel when I look at her.
Completely enchanted

Amber Gaze

Such a thoughtful face with amber eyes like crystals shining against the brilliant blue of the day
